A startup project founded by myself and 4 others that is taking salon managemnt software into the twenty-first century. We feel that much of the salon software out there is out of date, hard to use and costly. We're hoping to offer a better alternative to this market. Our idea was to make this extremely easy to use, have a fun vibe and be much more cost efective for various sized salons.
A video portal site that aggregates gaming, entertainment or weird videos that have been posted across the Giant Realm network of sites. The goal here was to create site with a simple, singular focus, see if it worked and then build on that. We originally were gung ho about having a huge video player, but in the end decided it took up too much real estate and optimized the size.
I worked on this custom super-sized ad unit that gets shown before you would enter a site. We developed the framework and standards by which all macrostitial ads would be built.
A gaming video site that was redesigned to allow their large user base more options to interact with and upload their own content. We wanted to create avenues for showcasing ScrewAttack produced shows as well as user created shows. This was achieved by highlighting or focusing on the top item on each of the modules with color, increased text size and the user's avatar. This created a common theme and hierarchy for all the modules and anything that would be built thereafter.
A portfolio site for an up and coming video production company. The client wanted to be able to update the site easily and regularly. I used Wordpress as the content management system in part because the client had experience using it.
CD design for indie band The Anix on Chamberlain Records. With the album title being Demolition City and the band being from L.A. I thought about the idea of a small town girl coming to Hollywood to find fame. But realizes that all that glitters isn't gold.
Trading card design for anime cartoon Dinosaur King. I tried to evoke a video game-type interface to the cards. Bright, exciting and dynamic.
CD design for the band Thalon on Chamberlain Records. The band leans toward Christian Rock and wanted that represented in the art. I wound up using elements of photos I had taken of sculpture while visiting the Vatican in Rome. How appropriate.
Branding for our salon management software startup. We wanted it to be fun, but not silly. I created our mascot Mochino to reinforce a feeling of friendliness. And he's cute.
Logo design for a local hair salon here in New York City. The client wanted something along the lines of shabby chic. The project had a curve ball thrown in when midway through the design process they decided to change the business name. It turned out to be a good move because the branding became clearer once the new name replaced the old.
Logos designed for some of the various shows featured on ScrewAttack.com. The logos and supporting graphics were used to shape the look and feel of all promo spots and graphic executions within the site.

Manipulated classic pin-up art into evil devil girl. This art was used on items created by my friends at Wicked Crafts.
Artwork created Brooklyn based electro group Flashmen. They wanted to invoke an old school 1980's Arcade meets disco vibe. Lights, camera, dance!
