Increasing marketshare by designing appointment management for Clover Point-of-Sale

The challenge

Clover Point of Sale provides a comprehensive range of features for small businesses, covering everything from payment processing to sales tracking and daily operations. However, it had a significant gap in its capabilities when it came to scheduling and managing appointments.

The approach

Targeting salons, spas, and gyms, we set out to streamline their operation of booking appointments, managing customer communication, employee scheduling, and taking payments – all within Clover.

My role

I led the design of merchant-side appointment management across web, devices, and companion app.

The solution

We landed on core features that met merchant's needs and expectations for managing appointments. These new features we rolled out across web, Clover devices, and Clover's Go app.

  • Calendar: A standard schedule view with the ability to view all pointments, create or edit, filtering and sorting.
  • Appointment creation: Adding and editing all the necessary details.
  • Appointment lifecycle management: this included the ability to view appointment details in full, edit statuses, and take payment.
